Nitzia Chama was born in Xalapa, Veracruz, Mexico.
At the age of 21, she received her degree in Education and Business Administration in Mexico. After graduation, she decided to move to Los Angeles, where she studied acting at the Stella Adler Acting Conservatory in Hollywood.
One of her most significant accomplishments as an actress is her role in the third season of the acclaimed AMERICAN CRIME TV series aired by ABC.
Nitzia played the lead role in the short film "SHE RETURNS," where she had the opportunity to work with the talented Director Douglas Cushine at the American Film Institute. The film continues to tour numerous and renowned festivals, including the COLLEGE EMMYS 2019, where she was nominated for the best actress.
She recently shared credits with Gael García Bernal in the Showtime pilot "MAN", the new series of Mexican director Jonás Cuarón.
In the last five years, Nitzia has been a television presenter at Univision. Every morning she can be seen in her segments of Despierta Los Ángeles. In the previous 3 years, she has featured her special reports for the National Show "Despierta América" whereas a producer and reporter has interviewed great stars of the Latin and Hollywood entertainment industry like Robert De Niro, Clint Eastwood, Angelina Jolie, Chris Evans, Kathy Bates, to mention few.
Nitzia has been the image and spokesperson of renowned companies in several TV commercials and campaigns. In theatre, she has participated in plays, both English and Spanish.
Nitzia has made her mission to inspire others and to tell the stories that empower the Latino community.
Her greatest passion is listening and giving life to the stories of her community. She is an active participant in community events with social causes that help improve the community.
